The host workspace keeps arriving guests, reservations, tables, and POS service aligned.
Seat a walk-in
- Open the host workspace and select Seat a walk-in.
- Search for a returning guest before creating a new profile.
- Enter party size and the permitted contact details or notes.
- Select an available table and confirm seating once.
A phone number or email can match an existing CRM guest or create a new guest record. Leaving both fields blank creates an anonymous walk-in, which is useful when the venue does not need a customer profile.
Use the waitlist
Add the party to the waitlist when no appropriate table is ready. Keep the party size and contact information current, then seat the existing entry when space opens. Do not create a second walk-in for the same party.
Move or group tables
A one-table move preserves the service session and linked POS order. Combined table groups can include up to eight tables. A table with a POS order cannot be removed from the group until the order relationship is resolved.
Use the host or table action designed for the move. Do not recreate the reservation, walk-in, or order on the destination table.
Finish and clean
Complete payment and service before releasing the table. When the floor state is Dirty, select Start cleaning and complete the cleaning workflow before returning the table to available status.
If state looks wrong, refresh the host board and inspect the guest entry, table group, service session, and linked POS order. Record the reservation or order number when escalating.
