Create and complete your store account

Last updated 2026-08-073 min read

Choose email or Google signup, prepare the required business details, and understand what account creation does and does not activate.

On this page

Create a store account only when you are the owner setting up a new Ellich company. Employees and managers joining an existing company should activate the invitation from their employer instead of creating another store account.

Choose the correct signup path

Open Create a store account from the sign-in page. You can continue with email and password or with Google.

  • Email and password: enter the company, first store, owner, and legal business details. The owner password must contain at least 12 characters.
  • Google: approve Google sign-in, then finish Set up your store account. The verified Google address becomes the owner email and cannot be replaced on that form.

If Google returns you to sign-in and then opens Set up your store account, authentication succeeded but company provisioning is not finished. Complete the form; do not create a second password account for the same company.

Prepare the required information

Have the company name and email, first store name and address, owner name and phone, business type and operating model, legal business name, last four EIN digits, and legal business address ready. Email signup also requires the owner email and password. Accept the required Terms and Privacy agreements; marketing email is optional.

Prepare starter workspace can add sample products, tables, staff, schedules, tasks, inventory, CRM, website content, forms, and POS setup for evaluation. These are starter records, not proof that real prices, taxes, permissions, hardware, or customer channels are ready.

Understand what signup creates

Successful signup creates the company, first store, owner login, default roles, an admin address, and the two-month field-test billing record. No card is required to start the field test.

Signup also creates a payment-onboarding record with information still needed. It does not activate card processing, terminal use, payouts, online ordering, or a public website. Complete and verify each operational workflow separately before using it with customers.

Continue after account creation

Use the returned admin destination or sign in with the owner account. Confirm the company and first store name before entering real records. Then follow First-day launch checklist and the detailed manuals it links to.

If submission reports an error, preserve the exact message and time. Before submitting again, try signing in with the owner account and confirm whether the company already exists. Do not create a second company merely because starter sample data or the redirect did not finish.
