Schedule weekly or monthly email reports

Last updated 2026-08-062 min read

Choose report sections, cadence, and authorized recipients, then verify recurring delivery state.

On this page

Scheduled Reports email selected business metrics to approved recipients on a weekly or monthly cadence. Creating a schedule does not send an email immediately.

Create a schedule

  1. Open Admin → Reports & Insights → Scheduled Reports.
  2. Select Add schedule.
  3. Choose Weekly or Monthly.
  4. For a weekly schedule, choose Send every weekday. For a monthly schedule, choose a Day of month from 1 through 28.
  5. Under Report sections to include, select every section the recipients need.
  6. Enter Recipient emails. Separate multiple addresses with commas or spaces.
  7. Select Create schedule.

Use only recipients authorized to receive the selected business data. A report can contain financial, labor, inventory, or customer-sensitive information depending on the chosen sections.

Confirm delivery readiness

The schedule card shows its cadence, included report sections, recipients, Active or Paused state, and Last sent date when available.

Check all of the following:

  • The schedule is Active.
  • The recipient addresses are spelled correctly.
  • The selected sections match the intended audience.
  • The store timezone and reporting data are correct before the send window.
  • A previous send appears under Last sent after the scheduled run.

The schedule page configures recurring delivery. Use the Reporting hub to validate the underlying metrics before relying on an emailed summary.

Pause, enable, or delete

Use the toggle on a schedule card to Pause or Enable future sends. Pausing does not delete the configuration or previous report data.

Use Delete only when the recurring configuration is no longer needed. Deleting removes the automatic report schedule; it does not delete previously generated report data or send an email.

If a report did not arrive

Confirm the schedule is active, the expected send window has passed in the store timezone, the recipient is still listed, and Last sent changed. Ask the recipient to check spam or mail filtering. If Last sent did not update, capture the schedule cadence, report sections, recipient domain, expected send time, and current status for support. Do not include report contents unless required and authorized.
