Use Promo Slides to control the kiosk welcome and idle hero. Slides, reusable bundles, schedule rules, and Premium Packages have different effects, so verify which action changes the active Location configuration.
Create and enable promo slides
- Open Kiosk > Promo Slides and select Add slide.
- Choose text or image, then enter the headline and optional eyebrow, subtext, image URL, alignment, position, typography, colors, and overlay strength.
- Check Live hero preview and select Save slide.
- Turn promo rotation on and set a slide interval from 3 to 20 seconds.
Adding, editing, deleting, enabling, or changing the interval persists immediately. Restore previous promo setup only restores the most recent page-session change. When promo is off, the runtime returns no promo slides and the welcome surface falls back to the saved branding hero and tagline.
Save, apply, and schedule bundles
A saved bundle is a reusable lead-slide definition. Up to 40 normalized bundles are stored per tenant. Archiving removes a bundle from active runtime selection without deleting it; deleting removes it from the library.
Applying a bundle immediately replaces the first base slide, keeps later base slides, enables promo rotation, and records an apply-history entry. It does not create a future schedule.
For a schedule rule, choose a name, active bundle, at least one weekday, start and end time, optional start and end dates, enabled state, and timezone. The runtime evaluates enabled rules in that timezone. When a rule is active, its bundle replaces only the lead slide; remaining base slides stay in the rotation. When no rule is active, the base slide order wins. Use Preview date & time to verify the active rule and next switch before service.
Apply a Premium Package safely
Premium Packages are tenant-specific records created from AI Brand Studio. Saving a package does not change kiosk runtime. Apply to kiosk configuration does.
Applying a package writes its brand name, tagline, theme, layout, colors, logo, branding hero, template, template hero asset map, promo slide, and promo enabled state into the Location settings. The template asset map is replaced by the package's generated map, so existing custom slot assets can be cleared. Record the current branding, template, assets, and promo setup before applying; the package list does not provide a complete automatic rollback.
Opening a proposal allows metadata and activity tracking, browser Print / Save PDF, and Approve and apply configuration. That approval applies the same kiosk settings and marks the package approved/applied. Merely changing proposal stage or notes does not apply runtime settings.
When OPENAI_API_KEY is missing, AI Brand Studio returns a mock suggestion and AI asset generation returns mock artwork. A package made from those results is useful for workflow testing but should not be represented as a model-generated final creative package.
Verify the active kiosk
After any direct apply or scheduled switch, reload a controlled kiosk and confirm the lead hero, remaining rotation, interval, theme, template, and asset slots. Also confirm that promo is enabled and the kiosk channel itself is live. Use Kiosk Analytics to review channel status, device health, publish blockers, schedule evaluation, and recent bundle application evidence.
