Station Diagnostics verifies the local assignment and whether the screen can safely render the selected role. A station is not ready merely because registration returned a device ID.
Read the Diagnostics checks
- Local data storage confirms the Station can keep its assignment locally.
- POS link shows
this POSfor the Main POS, the linked StoreHub for secondary installed roles, or a cloud session for Mobile POS. - Tenant and store must be verified.
- Display fit reports the CSS viewport, effective pixels, orientation, and role profile.
- Payment safety reminds operators that card completion still requires provider confirmation.
Supported, warning, and unsupported
Supported means the display meets the recommended role profile. Warning allows continuation but recommends a larger effective resolution or 100% viewport zoom. Unsupported blocks continuation because the orientation is wrong or the CSS viewport is below the role's layout floor.
Most fixed POS, Kiosk, KDS, Customer Display, and Operations Board roles require landscape orientation and at least a 1024-pixel-wide CSS workspace. Mobile POS and Payment Terminal support either orientation with a minimum 360 × 640 CSS viewport.
Correct an unsupported display
- Rotate fixed stations to landscape.
- Set browser or WebView zoom to 100%.
- Restore the operating system display scale or resolution so the CSS workspace meets the displayed layout floor.
- Reopen or resize the Station and check Diagnostics again.
- Use a supported monitor when the device cannot meet the minimum.
For a separate Windows customer checkout monitor, Windows must use Extend, not Duplicate or Mirror. Select Detect displays, choose the non-primary guest display, and open checkout only after the Station reports more than one usable desktop display.
Do not ignore a missing POS link
A secondary Station with a valid cloud identity but no StoreHub link is still incomplete. Diagnostics shows LAN link required or POS link required and sends the installer back to POS selection. Search again or add the Main POS by IP; do not continue with a support-only registration as if it were live.
After Diagnostics passes, enter the intended runtime and confirm a fresh heartbeat plus the smallest safe role workflow.
