Clock in, take breaks, and request attendance corrections

Last updated 2026-08-062 min read

Use the time clock, record paid or unpaid breaks, and correct attendance with an audit trail.

Use your own employee identity for every time-clock action so labor records and audit history remain reliable.

Work a shift

  1. Sign in or enter your POS PIN and choose Clock in.
  2. Start the correct paid rest or unpaid meal break when it begins.
  3. End the active break before starting another action.
  4. Choose Clock out only after work and required closeout steps are complete.

Clock-in can automatically create matching task and inventory assignments from eligible Auto templates. The response reports how many assignments were created. The system may block clock-out when the tenant's assignment gate is enabled and assigned operational work is incomplete. End any active break first. A manager can review the blockers and, when policy permits, complete an audited override with a reason of at least 10 characters. The override records the manager, unresolved-work snapshot, reason, and clock-out time.

Request a correction

If a time is missing or wrong, open Attendance and submit a correction with the intended time and explanation. The original record remains visible while a manager approves or rejects the request.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot clock in: verify active employment, location access, and PIN/account state.
  • Cannot clock out: end any active break and review displayed blockers.
  • Wrong business date: confirm the location timezone before changing records.
  • Duplicate time: do not create another shift; ask a manager to review the attendance record.
