Use employee documents, training, announcements, and tips

Last updated 2026-08-063 min read

Use employee self-service to complete training, acknowledge documents, submit files, read updates, and review tip totals.

On this page

The employee portal gives each signed-in employee a role-scoped view of announcements, assigned operating documents, training progress, and POS tip totals. These pages use the employee's own identity, so employees should not share an account or POS PIN.

Review announcements and training

Open Employee → Announcements to read updates published by the store, manager, or operations team. An empty page means no announcement is currently available to that employee; it does not confirm that a manager attempted to publish one.

Open Employee → Training to view assigned materials. Use category filters when the list is long. Required materials are identified separately, and Your progress shows required completion, completed items, in-progress items, and items not started.

Select Start to begin an assigned material. After completing the required content, select Mark Complete. The progress state changes to Completed. If an expected course is missing, confirm that it was published and assigned to the employee's tenant and role.

Download and acknowledge documents

Open Employee → My documents. The page shows documents published for the employee's role plus counts for Needs acknowledgement, Needs submission, and Needs revision.

  1. Select the document download action and review the current published file.
  2. When I have reviewed this appears, select it only after reading the document. The acknowledgement timestamp is recorded.
  3. When Employee submission required appears, choose the requested file, add an optional reviewer note, and select Submit.
  4. Review the status: pending, needs revision, accepted, or rejected. Read the manager note when shown.
  5. Use Resubmit after correcting a file that needs revision.

Employees can download their own submission. Document visibility is role-based; a missing document may indicate that it is unpublished or not assigned to the employee's role.

Review personal POS tips

Open Employee → My POS tips, choose a date preset or valid custom range, and refresh. The page separates Tips, Auto-gratuity, and Total (tips + AG) from successful card or cash captures where the employee is the tip recipient.

This view is not a payroll statement and does not change a payment. If a tip is missing or assigned incorrectly, record the date range and affected payment, then use POS Tips when the employee's role allows it or ask a manager to use the payroll correction workflow.

Protect employee information

Use only your own employee login. Download assigned operating documents and submissions only to an approved device, and do not include passwords, bank details, tax identifiers, or payment card data in reviewer notes or support requests.
