The Blog screen manages Ellich-owned news posts on the connected live website.
Create a safe draft
- Open Admin > Site Builder > Website > Blog. Blog tools require a connected live site.
- Enter a required title and optional post content.
- Choose Create post as draft.
- Confirm the new row says Draft. A draft exists in Ellich and on the connected website but is not public.
The screen loads up to 20 posts at a time from the connected site. Use Refresh after an external change or when a recently changed post is not shown.
Edit and publish
Choose Edit, update the title or content, and use Save post changes. Content changes are written to the connected site immediately while preserving the current draft or published status.
Choose Publish only after reviewing the final copy. Publishing changes the live post status immediately; it does not wait for the general Apply live updates button. Open the post's public URL and verify its title, content, date, links, images, and layout.
Ellich remembers managed blog posts so the complete live update can restore them after a live-app rebuild, style replacement, or release restore. A successful sync is still not a substitute for checking the customer URL.
Unpublish or delete
- Move to draft removes a published post from public status while retaining it for later editing.
- Delete permanently deletes the post from both Ellich's managed record and the connected live website. The confirmation is intentionally destructive.
- Use Move to draft when the post may be needed again. Use Delete only after confirming that no customer link, campaign, or search result must keep working.
Recover a blog update
If the screen says the live website is not connected, publish or reconnect the managed site before retrying. If an edit, status change, or deletion fails, refresh once and check the current row before repeating the action. Then correct the connection or post error and retry only the failed operation.
