Product Operations provides two controlled workflows: bulk changes to existing products and spreadsheet import for new products. Use the bulk workspace for status or sales-channel changes, and use the import preview to validate rows before anything is created.
Run a bulk product action
- Open Admin → Products → Product Operations and choose the bulk operations tab.
- Search by product name or filter by All Status, Active, Inactive, or Draft.
- Select individual products or choose Select Loaded. Load more results when the product is not yet in the current table.
- Choose Select Action and select one operation: activate, deactivate, move to draft, enable or disable Kiosk, Display Board, or Online Store, or archive products.
- Select Execute Action and wait for the updated catalog summary.
A single bulk operation can include at most 500 products. Select Loaded selects only rows already loaded into the table, not every matching product in the catalog. Archiving removes products from live channels while preserving historical links, and the page requests confirmation before it proceeds.
Export selected products
Select the required products and choose Export Selected. The CSV contains the selected product name, description, price, code, and status. The export is a review file; editing it does not change Ellich until it is uploaded through a supported import workflow.
Import new products
- Open the Import tab and select Download CSV Template.
- Complete the template without changing its expected columns.
- Upload the CSV file and wait for the preview.
- Review the total, valid, error, and warning rows. Correct editable values and remove rows that should not be created.
- Select the import action only after the preview contains the intended products.
- Review the created and skipped counts in Import Complete.
Rows with blocking errors are not valid import rows. Optional AI suggestions are recommendations only; review category or other suggested values before committing and continue without the option when it is unavailable.
Verify channel behavior
After a bulk change or import, open one affected product and confirm status, code, price, tax, modifiers, and channel flags. Then place a controlled order on each changed channel. A product marked for Kiosk, Display Board, or Online Store can still be unavailable when another product setting, menu assignment, schedule, or store context blocks it.
