Shared Store Settings use an inheritance chain: a store-specific setting overrides a Store Group setting, and a Store Group setting overrides the company setting. Saving a setting and applying it to stores are separate actions.
Choose the correct scope
Open Company → Shared Store Settings and choose All company stores, A store group, or One store. The source label shows whether the current value is a company setting, group setting, store setting, or inherited value.
Supported fields can include business name, logo URL, brand color, receipt message, timezone, notes, and break-policy rules. Some domains are marked Managed by store because automatic sharing is not available for them.
Save and apply
- Edit the values for the selected scope.
- Select Save to create or update the scoped setting. This does not apply the value to target stores.
- Resolve every validation error.
- Select Apply to stores for a publishable setting.
- Review the application result, including the target count, applied count, and any stores that need attention.
For a Store Group, the target set includes its expanded child groups. Confirm group membership before applying. A store override remains higher priority than a group or company value.
Remove an override or restore history
At group or store scope, select Use shared setting to remove that scope's custom value and return to the inherited setting. At company scope, Remove company setting or Remove rule removes the company-level record.
Use View history to inspect saved and applied versions. Restoring an earlier version requires confirmation and creates a new version; it does not erase later audit history. After a restore, verify whether the restored version has been applied to the intended stores.
If a store still shows an old value, check whether it has its own override, whether the selected domain supports publication, and whether the latest application was completed or partial.
